When I was looking into this I only saw a ton of enthusiastic reviews but nothing that answered the basic question I had: is this a scam??? It sounds too good to be true! In short, no its not a scam: This is a real company that provides a real product. However, the catch is that this product is MASSIVELY expensive and there are hidden charges along the way if youre not careful. One small photo alone costs $200 and the price goes up from there into the thousands!!! I was happy though that my sales person was not pushy at all and didnt try to push something on me when she knew I was not interested in spending that much. When I signed up originally I snagged a deal that included one free 8x10 photo and then I got free shipping, so for me personally, this was a fine experience because I did get a great photo in the end and my girls had fun. But be warned they money grab you at every turn you make an appointment, you better make it or they charge you money. They make a zoom appointment to see the proofs, you better make that appointment or they charge you money. Yeah I get you have a business to run but that aspect of it is very off-putting. Fortunately I made all my appointments so once again, this was not an issue for me personally. As for the photo shoot itself, it was a lot of fun! The place is great, set is great, outfits are great, photographers are professional. My only complaint is that they REQUIRE you sign a waiver to allow your photos to be used for anything, advertising, etc. I wouldnt normally sign something all-encompassing like that but we had made the drive and my girls were excited, but I wasnt too happy about being forced to sign that. Overall my advice would be: if youre good at keeping appointments and youve gotten a deal up front to get a free photo, and you dont mind signing a waiver, then this is worth the pretty minimal cost of the up front photo session. If any of those other aspects I mentioned bother you, then skip this one.
