Edited: see end of review... I may be biased because I've worked here off and on for the last 5 years or so, but I love it here. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the lunch options are amazing and not well known! If people would try lunch instead of just buying bread they'd be pleasantly surprised! Bread here is made of 5 natural products, daily fresh ground locally sourced wheat berries being one. Love the food and the people! Great Harvest 4 Life! 😉 It saddens me to see that the new owners (also owners of the Rexburg and Rigby stores) have run this location into the ground within 8 months. They fired all of the employees when they got there, which was their first mistake. Next mistake was the way they changed everything about the successful way this location was run; getting rid of things that regular customers had come to count on...like coffee. The business was reposessed. I, as a former employee, came in to help the previous owner clean the place up after these people left in a hurry, only after stealing hundreds of dollars worth of honey and who knows what else. Seeing the absolutely ABHORRENT state the entire bakery was left in made me cry. I'd come to love this place, and the people I worked with were, and still are, family. I'm off again in today to go help clean some more. There is a layer of filth on everything that never would have flown with the previous owner, and it will take DAYS to scrub it all clean. I don't get it. All I know is that I will NEVER go into a Great Harvest run by these people. I'm appalled and heartbroken that they ran a beloved fixture in downtown Pocatello straight into the ground and just walked away to run other stores that are most likely covered in filth behind the scenes, too. I'm keeping my 5-star rating because when I wrote it I meant it, and it's not a reflection of the people who took over and destroyed my home.
