Very lovely decor - the hotel lobby and our room were both beautiful. However, we were less than impressed with the customer service. We arrived during a holiday parade of some kind so Michigan Ave was blocked off & circled the hotel for an hour trying to figure out the best way to reach the valet service. Called the front desk and they said â€œvalet was still working that outâ€. I have to believe they had warning this would happen and should have had a plan in place for their guests. I ended up walking on foot to the hotel where I was met with blank stares and the employees were generally unsympathetic. Finally a young valet offered to walk back several blocks to my car and take it from there. Thank goodness for Leo!!! The bar staff couldnâ€™t seem to get a handle on drinks or their menu which was a little sad to watch. Later that evening I ordered room service and it just never showed up. Filled out a contact form after our stay to address these issues and I never heard back. Would really expect more from a 5-star hotel. Plenty of other options in downtown Chicago.

AMAZING is not enough to describe the wonderful experience we as a family had. The staff was the best I have yet had the pleasure to come in contact with. The hotel was also great and very clean but I genuinely cant say enough how the staff just went above and beyond for us. They made my kids feel so welcomed as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
