Tim Thavis: Allstate Insurance

I have had a lot of different insurance carriers for home, life and auto over the years but none as bad as Tim Thavis. Nearly impossible to speak with or get answers to simple questions. I had a couple fairly simple issues over the last couple months. I sent 5 e-mails (to both the attention of Tim Thavis and his office manager), left 4 voice mails and even knocked on his storefront door. To no avail. But I will say Allstate corporate was not much better. I tried them several times as well and no live voice for help, only to be directed back to the Thavis agency. Today, I am happy to say I have switched agents but if Allstate's corporate doesn't improve, I will be switching carriers as well.

The worst...they cancelled our policies after we wrote them for not having proof of prior coverage. When I provided the proof they requested they said that's what they needed and we'd be fine. Two weeks later our insurance got cancelled and they said that we actually needed 3 years of prior coverage information, which they neglected to tell us. I had to find out after calling them. Needless to say we moved our insurance.

Easy to work with and the coverage I need at a price I can afford which is why my auto insurance, renters insurance, and life insurance is with Tim at Allstate.

Worked out well in terms of coverage and price when I decided to go with Tim as my new insurance agent. Nice guy. Nice office.
