Agreed with other reviewers. They provide Citi Costco card's auto rental coverage and it's a complete scam. They just refuse to pay after all documents from the rental agency have been furnished. If Citi admits the rental company charges as legitimate, so should they. If your credit card company offers auto rental damage coverage, ask for the policy provide. Absolutely avoid them if it's Virginia Surety Co. EDIT: Thanks for your reply. Surprising how you reply so much faster to Google Reviews than to actual correspondence related to the claim. This speaks volumes of your deplorable business practices. I shouldn't have to contact you through an alternative channel for you to **do your job**. I already submitted the documentation for Citi Benefits Request 27369764. **Honor the claim already**

Regarding the warranty on pre-owned vehicles: I paid an extra $3,000 to have the best warranty that was offered by Portfolio Protection and Assurant. It covered literally everything. BUT, good luck getting them to actually replace your parts with “like and kind quality”, as stated in their contract. The motor blew in my 2017 GMC Terrain at 66xxx miles. Initially, Assurant (VSC) tried to talk the auto shop into replacing it with a used motor with 90xxx miles on it. Then, after having the claim on their desk for TWO WEEKS with me calling them every single day, I had to find a phone number for my policy holder, Portfolio Protection, who then had the claim “approved” within 10 minutes. However, rather than shelling out a little extra, they want to put a junk LKQ motor in it, which absolutely is not like and kind quality to a GM motor, and will drive down the value of my vehicle should I try to sell it or trade it in. Absolutely reporting these pukes to both Iowa and Illinois Insurance Commission, as well as any other agency I can find to report them to.

This warranty is a scam/rip-off. I can't believe that Costco is risking its reputation by adding this company to their umbrella. Made a claim on Samsung watch and they didn't want to honor warranty claiming normal tear and wear and the the parts of the watch fell apart with minimum use. Unfortunately, I purchased an expensive laptop with the Costco Visa card before this experience. It was too late to return and purchase with the American Express or Discover. Now Costco is forcing their customers to buy with this card. In the future I will go to other retailers that accept Amex or Discover to buy my electronics . Think twice before buying something expecting that this company will deliver on their commitment. In over 20 years as a Costco customer this is only my 2nd claim. About 10 year ago I had a claim for an Ipod purchased with Costco Amex and I had an excellent experience with them, no issues at all.

I feel compelled to write this review even through I dont usually write reviews nomatter how good/bad the service or company is. A lot of people wrote bad reviews for this insurance company, and I honestly throught I was going to have a bad experience with them, but I saw so wrong. They were professional, nice, and understanding with a device that broken down (I bought it at Costco using the Citi card which gave me 4 yr extended warranty)... I cant speak for the others, but I was rly impressed! Great service, and a perk that has value!
