I have personally been involved in the photography and film business for more than 40 years. My husband and I used to own a commerical photography studio and then a commerical film production company. We specialized in shooting food and beverage for clients all over the world. I was retiring at the end of 2016 and I wanted to have a great portrait done so I began my search for the perfect fit for my photography assignment. I looked at dozens of great photographers work. I reached out to all of my contacts in the business to ask for their recommendations as well. Steve Ewert's name came up again and again. I looked up his latest work and saw an amazing portrait series that he did called "Portraits of Creative People." Wow does not begin to cover how I felt about those photographs. I called him and immediately set up a session. I am a better director in life than I am a follower. I was concerned once I sat for the portrait that I be able to relax and let someone take charge. Steve has such a great professional demeanor that I never had to worry about any of that! The session was an easy and fun process. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted to communicate and he effortlessly directed me knowing that he had a great idea in mind as well. I worked with Steve on a two-day corporate photo shoot and the results were spectacular. Steve made the process of "herding cats" fun and easy and the experience was a joy. The photos turned out to be exactly what we were looking for - both candids and formal portraits of groups and individuals. Steve also photographed my headshot for professional purposes and again, the process and experience were fun and easy. It is always a pleasure to work with Steve, and his style and photos never disappoint.
