This is a good, solid executive course (par 61). It is worth playing if you live in or near Fort Wayne. I have played it 5 or 6 times, and each time the rough was much longer than the other courses in the area. This means that finding wayward shots can be difficult. (E.g., my playing partner today stepped on his ball that was 15 feet from the fairway --oops!) The fairways are in great shape (on a layout this short, there isn't much fairway anyway), and the greens are generally smooth but slow. The sand traps are mostly overgrown with grass and weeds - no rakes anywhere. Only two of the par 3s are at or over 200 yards, so it is quite playable by short hitters (old folks, tweens). There are only two tees on most of the holes (white and red). In talking with the (really nice) fellow at the cash register, it seems that the sub-development that owns the course is cutting back on their maintenance budget, and he said that the sand traps are already deemed to be unsustainable from now on. He said that they will likely be grass depressions by next season. :-( He did not say it, but I expect that the extra long rough is also because of the reduced maintenance budget.
