I was just there for a wedding but the pool area seemed really cool because it was indoors and had lots of arcade games for kids to play.

It is really sad to see what this place has become. In 1996, I stayed here for the first time, and, as a Holiday Inn, it was a 4-star hotel, probably one of the best in the Quad Cities. I was back here in July 2014, and even then it wasn't bad, think it was a Clarion then. Now it is like something out of the Twilight Zone. Stayed here for 3 days near the end of June 2017 and by the middle of Day 2, I was beginning to think I was the only guest in the place. Like a ghost town, even though I did see about 8 other cars scattered in the parking lot around the place. Pool and hottub were down for maintenance, bar was completely closed the entire time I was there and the continental breakfast was essentially cereal, milk, and juice. Hallway carpeting was really old and outdated, baseboards along the hallways were chipped, the tiled windowsill in my room was cracked, Lots of scuffs and marks on the bathroom wall. In short, it was a bizarre stay. I guess the only positive thing I can say is that I did not see any bedbugs during my stay there, so maybe I lucked out. The nice lady at the desk assured me that the new ownership had been in place for only 2 months and that renovations were coming. I'm not holding out hope. At this point, I think the only renovation that would do this place any good would be the wrecking ball.
