This shop is the only one left in KC and they do not understand customer service or how to restore confidence in their repair work. I have had on going issues with a newer 710 machine. The blame is put on it being a computer, having electrical power issues, or user error. All of which might be a cause for issues but when the touch screen doesn't work, it isn't user error. Instead of explaining that they now have good tech people who can fix the problems, the issues are avoided and the potential cost is left unanswered. Very disappointed since I would like to support my local store but will go to Topeka for service now. Their supply of feet was limited also. The annual sale of 25% off throughout December left them unprepared, so the foot I wanted wasn't available without special ordering plus shipping costs.

Since the new owners took over Windmill Sewing Center I’ve experienced nothing but excellence in customer service. They do whatever is needed to make my personal experience with them just that personal. They are knowledgeable and strive to meet / exceed my expectations each time I interact with any of their staff members. From the owners Joan and Robert to the manager Joel all the way down to Julie and Michelle their associates I have never had a negative experience and encourage anyone needing a sewing / embroidery dealer, service for an existing machine or looking to attend a class on a machine or making of a project don’t hesitate to check them out.

Excellent sewing machine repair! I took my Bernina machine to another shop for its yearly oiling & cleaning, and they completely messed it up. After 3 months and taking it back to them three times they admitted that they had no idea how to fix it & said I needed to take it to a specialist. I took it to Windmill, and they were so nice and helpful - and best of all, they were able to fix the damage the other shop had done! They really went the extra mile, and I can't recommend them enough! You can tell that they really know what they're doing and that your machine will be in good hands with them.
