Replaced by Yoki Buffet. Large selection of good quality, tasty food. The price is more than reasonable, and the place is well maintained. Leagues better than the usual food trough stuff found at the "other" buffet places. It's not Eddie Merlot's, nor is it meant to compete in that category.

The service was good, and the food tasted ok. The mold, or mildew, all over the ceiling was gross. We would have asked for a refund and left, but we didn't notice it until we had already finished a plate of food. If they cleaned the restaurant really well, we might try it again.

We came in right around lunch time and was met with a friendly greeting from Warren. The place is bigger than expected and our two sons were excited to eat once they saw the buffet, already calling what they wanted from a distance. We all made several trips, enjoying orange chicken, tacos, mac & cheese, pizza, pasta, very tasty chicken, delicious andoule sausage, and a pretty great assortment of desserts including lava crunch cake and ice cream! Great experience, Great staff, Great value! it's a no brainer! Competitively priced with Arby's or Burger King, but far better fare!

have visited 1/mo for Sat breakfast w/ a group of guys for years. pricing has increased over past couple yrs: was $6.25 for breakfast & drink; then $7.50; then $5.75 + opt $2.50 drink (really?). now $8.00 + opt $2.50 drink. with tip, breakfast is now >$12-13! breakfast menu has gravitated toward cheaper selections. no more fresh cut ham, fried or roasted chicken (sometimes), or enchiladas (great while they lasted). link sausage has always been weird (tough skin, mushy inside). eggs for omelettes appear to be cut with water or milk. upon suggesting return of the preferred items, received reply that it's a corporate decision and they cannot change the menu. surprised the General Manager doesn't have more management over the restaurant's menu. also: received a survey (this week) via email primarily soliciting the naming of the dessert bar. ridiculous! who eats at a restaurant because of the name of the dessert bar? the substantial questions were not asked; just marketing questions that were irrelevant. quality & value are the primary factors for patronage, and both have been diminishing over the years. perhaps this explains why there's only one Hometown Buffet left within 100 miles of Louisville. suggestion: please improve the quality and value. dodo bird decisions result in dodo bird extinction. 2019 UPDATE: this business closed, not surprisingly, a few years ago. too bad... because it used to be a decent place to dine.
