If you're a new patient, find yourself another place to go.  The staff doesn't care. I called at the beginning of April for an annual eye exam. My appointment was for May 7th. I had knee surgery on May 6th. I called and rescheduled the appointment for May 24th @ 1:30 pm. I got several reminders for the appointment which was fine. I got a call on May 24th @ 8:30 am on my voicemail that my appointment was canceled and rescheduled for August 8th. I thought that was totally unacceptable. I am going on Medicare , August 1st and needed an appointment sooner. So I called scheduling to see if there was an appointment sooner.  I explained that I was going on Medicare and my insurance isn't going to cover vision or dental. I was told since I was a new patient I was bumped out of my appointment for an established patient.  That there was no sooner appointments and why don't I go back to where I had my last eye exam.  I explained I had different insurance then and couldn't. Treatment shouldn't depend on your insurance coverage When making an appointment. Why does a scheduler determine if you're seen or not. Why does the staff find it necessary to be rude?  If you're a new patient waiting to be seen, I recommend Zocdoc.  Now I'm being seen on Friday the 27th instead of months from now.  I'm wondering if your staff took lessons from the scheduling dept at our local hospital or were staff there at one time. The rudeness and lack of caring emanating from your staff seems familiar.

Ive been suffering from pain from dry eye for a long time searching for an answer and help, Eye and lasik in Athol is the absolute best! Dr Alfred, Dr Andrews, Dr King & the dry eye counselor Lisa are some of the most compassionate kind people Ive met. All the staff are amazing. Highly recommend anyone to them! For an eye exam or anything of concern. They have been helping me manage my dry eye and blepharitis to where I can now function more like my normal self again, They make you feel heard! its been a process so far, Couldnt thank them enough for what they did for me this far in my treatment process! Thank you!

Eye exam was good. Very helpful with choosing and ordering frames. Problem is...I was told 7-10 days for glasses to come in and it's now been over 3 weeks! $500+ later still no glasses

Jessica King was very nice and explained everything going on with m y eyes. That was the only good part of my visit!  Their site says they accept insurance, and when I called to make the appointment, I was very explicit about the $200 Eyemed insurance pays toward my glasses, and was assured I was covered. Only after my exam was complete, was I told that they were not accepting Eyemed insurance for glasses, and wanted to give me a $50 certificate in place of my $200 coverage that they told me on the phone would be covered. I now have to drive to another optician for my glasses in order to get the benefit of my insurance.  I believe it was a bait and switch. Even Blue Cross Blue Shield was puzzled by this, and I  was told they will be looking into it.  PATIENT BEWARE!

I purchased a pair of glasses from them for not a cheap price back in March. Upon receiving the glasses I realized one of the lenses was defective. I then called to have it replaced which took months of calling them. I then received the new lenses and the same issue. So, I called again and was told to leave a message. I did that multiple times. I could not see with my current glasses because of the defect. I had to purchase another pair in the meantime just to be able to see. I continued to call and finally spoke with someone. I told them the story and all they had to say to me was that this is the last of my warranty. No apology or understanding of what it has taken me. I am just trying to get an expensive pair of glasses repaired because of a defect from the beginning. To the point where I had to buy another pair. COVID or not, this is just poor business practice. I cant see how this would get repeat customers.
