French Corner Bistro & Bakery

Really good sandwiches. The service was a bit slow but otherwise it was nice.

Stayed at the Hyatt Minneapolis downtown. This place was around the corner from the hotel. It had some good reviews so I decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised. The first day I was there I had the Croque Madame. It came topped with a fried egg. It was delicious! The second day I had the Quiche Lorraine. It was quite tasty. The place has a nice homey feel and the wait staff was friendly. The food orders came in a reasonable amount of time. There's also free WiFi but you have to ask for the password. Keep in mind this is a "French" bistro so the servings are not huge. Both meals satisfied my morning appetite.

Food was good. Service was extremely slow, it took us an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and the server still got our orders wrong. 0/10 would not recommend.

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. I decided to give it one more chance. True to recent form, I had to go to the counter and place my order even though I was the only customer. Nobody ever came to my table once I got my order (I was up for a second glass of wine, but...). Then I had to try to get their attention so I could get my check. Yesterday I gave it one more "one more chance". Fool me twice, shame on me! They told me the kitchen was closed. At 5 p.m.! The service is bad and the food is now mediocre at best. The really good workers they used to have seem to be gone. I wanted this place to work out. I no longer care. This place could be awesome but it isn't - at all! Too many other great options to choose from, so I won't waste my time ever again.
