Penmar Properties is the most overpriced garbage to rent from. Never move to a place with this name.

I lived on Proctor Avenue. To start, my garage door would freeze shut in the winter because the drainage pipe from the building would flow directly into my garage. Penmar properties would not fix it or give me sand bags to help. It was extremely dangerous. My ceiling in my bathroom would leak, and when someone finally came to fix it, they left paint splattered on all my towels, makeup, floor and toilet. The building I lived in often reeked of cigarette smoke and the neighbors were not friendly. When I moved out and needed Penmar to send me my deposit back, I could not get a hold of him for months. I called, left several voicemails, his voicemail box was full...seriously?? Five months later I finally received it. Save yourself the stress and trouble and do NOT live here.

Lived at 814 Proctor. He never fixed anything, if it was something important on the fire departments checklist he would have it fixed right before they came out. Our sliding glass door was broke in the middle of winter and we went 2 months with cold air blowing in before it was taken care of. Our over the stove microwave broke and finally after continued calls to see when it was gonna be fixed, he bought one to put on the counter instead of fixing the broken one. Raises rent every year for “building maintenance and upgrades” it’s run down and falling apart nothing ever gets upgraded. After we moved out we never got our 2018 CRP from him. Many calls and voicemails and never heard back. I would not recommend any of his properties unless your cool with a slumlord!
