The deli lady doesn't even advocate the dishes she makes, saying everyone should feel good about just eating simple produce instead, and there is too much clear oil preservative on everything; not sure that clear very viscous oil is healthy. Otherwise it would be popular selection items.

Devastated they are closing. 😢😢😢 Far superior local produce, salad bar was AMAZING with grilled corn, REAL -not soy meat like Hyvee-grilled chicken, Paleo, Whole Grain Mediterranean Pasta, Quinoa, shrimp cous cous, and strawberry feta salads . For Eight years, I'd treat my daughter to lunch there several times a week on her breaks-,corndog, Mac n cheese, me- fresh sushi/salad bar. We'd take home a Tuscan salad, Tippin pot pie or quiche, pre-made garlic/lemon/herb rubbed or deep fried turkey breast to serve up-especially during our crazy summer schedule. Tabouli and tortellini salad, Tippin pies. Beer Cave, Great Wine and Cheese selections. Beautiful,clean upscale market feel that no other northland grocery store has. Great staff...Susan, the Floral Manager was an Amazing Designer, ran a fabulous department and has a GREAT heart. She found and carried a bi-colored old-fashioned rose that was beautiful fragrant . RARE. Tremendous store....really, really sad to see it go-especially when area traffic increasing, businesses coming in, economy recovering. Also, very little advertising of their many, many specialty items/products seems to be a losing strategy that MUST be addressed. Price may not have not been cheapest but quality and diversity definitely was an unfortunate best kept secret that needs to change to keep the brand alive. 😢
