This company is as crooked as crooked comes. The other reviewers are upset about them wasting their time, and rightfully so. Sadly, I made it as far as giving them a hefty 30% deposit on my deck. Then, while waiting to receive my HOA forms back for approval, the communication stops. No calls or emails returned after NUMEROUS attempts. We then go to their showroom to try to get some answers and the building is empty and there is a For Sale sign. Wow. Bunch of scammers. Thank God I used Discover, an honest and respectable company, and I was able to dispute the charge. There really are horrible people out there and sadly this reconfirmed it.

Called them and set up an appointment. Left work early to meet them at my house. No show. I called to see if they were going to show, and left a voice mail. No response. Extremely unprofessional.

Our patio is literally crumbling before our eyes. Less then 2 years after the install, mortar is failing and bricks/stones are toppling down. They refuse to return our phone calls and step up and make the necessary repairs.

We recently used Deck and Patio living to redo our deck in composite material and despite being the higher bid, we chose them due to the positive experience we had when they did our under deck ceiling a few years ago. The experience with the recent deck project however was unfortunately not positive and a few themes are as follows: 1) poor communication and hand off from sales to project management (make sure you are very thorough in going over details to avoid unexpected surprises) 2) disorganized project management and lack of quality oversight (I repeatedly had to raise questions about work quality and can share pictures and examples) 3) work site cleanliness was lacking (I had guest ask me about who was doing our deck work and comment about cleanliness of job site; the ceiling fan that was taken down during the demo was sat on a retaining wall; fell off into a landscaping bed and was left there; we picked up numerous cigarette butts around our home as well as debris from the demo; demo’ed material was left in our front yard over a weekend and we had to fall to ask that it be removed, etc.) 4) after 3.5 months since starting the project in January, we still have a couple of significant outstanding issues on the punch list that have not yet been resolved. While it has been verbalized that things will be addressed, until that occurs the verdict is still out regarding the end product and the commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction. Given the cost of the job and past experience, we expected a much higher level of service orientation and attention to quality that unfortunately was lacking.
