Older hotel with large 10-story atrium. Not as many electrical outlets as newer built hotels of this caliber. Very OK stay. No complaints or overwhelming good comments.

In the early morning hours of October 21, 2023, 4 vehicles in our conference group were broken into by breaking out the rear side windows. We had 2 knives stolen out of the console and another had a weapon stolen. The manager offered platitudes but no solutions stating, "We do have security at the hotel, but the hotel is not responsible for damage to vehicles or items stolen from them. There is signage throughout the parking lot to that effect." That is a bogus, irresponsible, and frankly, cowardly position. Signage doesn't negate their responsibility to protect their guests! We called the police, but they declined to dispatch an officer, instead telling us to file online. My point is that this property was not covered by security or working cameras. We saw cameras all over the outside of the hotel, but from what we were told, the cameras are not active. We finally saw 1 security officer the night after the vandalism, and she told us that security only patrols inside the hotel and are not allowed to patrol the parking areas. They are not even allowed to carry any kind of protection, lethal or non-lethal. They can only call police, which we found to be futile. We feel we are entitled to compensation because of the hotel failures addressed above. We want recovery of the damage cost we may incur to repair our vehicle and the cost of our room covered to compensate for our loss, inconvenience, and aggravation. We were told that this company owns numerous properties in the area so they should have plenty of contingency funds to cover events like this. After the amount of money our group spent to be at the hotel, forcing us to also pay for damages incurred while on their property without compensation is wrong.
