Sushi Katsu

Somewhat tucked away, I lived near Sushi Katsu for over a year before finding it. I stopped by on a slow day which meant I could chat with the sushi chef and get some recommendations from the AYCE menu while enjoying a starter of miso.
I am very bad with names, but the flavor, presentation, and freshness are easily remembered.
The sushi chef I was speaking to said that he was the one who designed the menu and that while some descriptions may look similar to others, it's about the details. One such detail I recall is about the cucumbers. The cucumber used at Sushi Katsu is different than that used in many other places and was chosen to best compliment the other ingredients.
Now I am not connoisseur to be able to validate technical excellence in choice, but as a typical sushi fan, it was an excellent experience in a friendly environment.
This hidden treasure is one I'll be sure to return to... in fact, I'm taking a visiting friend there tomorrow!
