I went in for a haircut and the cut itself WOULDVE been fine if it was what I had asked for. I had longer hair and said I wanted to “clean it up, take just under an inch off…” and intended to keep it a little longer. I take off my glasses for the haircut. Next thing I know it feels like a buzz cut on the sides and my sideburns are gone. Never been to a barber that doesn’t ask before cutting sideburns. And after doing more than what I wanted, I’m told that the bill is $40?? I bit the bullet and gave them their forty bucks, but this isn’t a place I’ll be returning to any time soon. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Alex for years now. It took trial and error to find the right barber in Manhattan but after finding Alex the first time I’ve been going back to him ever since. Frank’s feels old school and comfortable. All the attention is on your cut at this no-frills old school village spot, and Alex has mastered his craft.

Very fast. Felt like they rushed. Planning on going to a more detail orientated place especially since they’re kinda expensive too.
