The Marianella Soap Bar

I received the rosewood and listed cubeba body oil in either a fab fit fun box or boxy charm, i think fab fit fun. I tried it one day and it ought, this has citronella in it. Then I noticed NO mosquitos bothered me. Now hear me out, I come from a state with horrible mosquitos, minnesota, but moved to north Carolina. Iwas like immune to MN mosquitos as far as lasting, itchy bites. In north carolina? Its like I'm a buffet and my bites last for weeks. Citronella candles don't work. I use this and I'm fine. No bites. I can even use this on the kids and babies. This product is AMAZING. It is a bit pricy, but I'm not spending, just as much, on deet and chemicals on my skin. My saving grace!

I bought their roller oil and while it's a nice scent, it is so subtle that I have to reapply it throughout the day.

I have tried numerous spas in NYC, but Andela who worked at Marianella was by far the BEST I have ever had. SHE IS AMAZING. I have been a loyal customer of hers since my first massage with her and have nothing but the best things to say about Andela. However, this rating is for the Marianella store. I recently found out that she needed to leave the spa because they are extremely late on paying her salary. This is completely unacceptable and not how a business should operate. They are losing top talent because of it. I will be following Andela to her new location and will not be visiting Marianella again.

Lovely store that I have been coming to since it opened! The best soaps, body washes, hand washes, bath bombs, ect. If you have old lady skin, any of their soaps will help moisturize your hands and skin. I try to come here any time I am in the city visiting my kids. They also know exactly what I want for the holidays! Wonderful, family owned business who care about sustainability. Also, people, of course you CANNOT take pictures inside a store and a spa without asking first. I am 75 years old and even know this. Stop your whining and respect those of us getting spa services and shopping; we don't want our picture all over your facebook. Kudos to David and Marianella for maintaining a professional business that folks want to continue coming back to, time and time again!
