Weird hotel. Good location, great lounge/restaurant, yet pretty average rooms, almost antiseptic and devoid of any personality (so different from the entrance). The service is questionable. I asked to borrow their scissors for 10 minutes and they said I would need to use them in front of them, in the lobby, for "liability" reasons. Which is BS, they just don't want guests taking them. I would have left a deposit, my ID ..10 mins to borrow scissors , but no, they treat me like I'm 6 yrs old.

I spent one night in NoMo SoHo. My room was neat and clean. At the same time it was very basic- too basic for a 4-star hotel. The photos circulating online are clearly deceiving. There were no flowers, no decorative white and blue cushions, no books in the room. There were no tea nor coffee making facilities either. No bar, no fridge... nothing. I was not provided with a single bottle of water even though I was charged over USD 40 amenity fee. TV entertainment is paid extra too. They charge USD 20 per movie. Toiletries they provide are of a good quality, and it seems it was the only "amenity" I could enjoy having been charged over USD 40. What's more my card was charged USD 150 of a "restaurant deposit". I came back to the hotel the following day to ask about it. I had not been informed about it beforehand though. Nor had I been informed about amenity fee. I think it's crucial for any guest to be informed about everything they will be charged extra even if it's a refundable deposit. I also think it's somewhat weird that an invoice is left at your door in the middle of the night before your actual checkout. In my view, they do it on purpose, not to "bother" their guests to go to the reception desk and pick their invoice, hoping that guests would grab it hastily from the floor without even looking at it and proceed to exit. Their reception is situated on the second floor, so it's easy to bypass it. All in all, expect a minimalist "no-frills" stay in a great area and don't forget to bring your own mineral water.
