Arlo Midtown

If you're scouring reviews, looking for the *perfect* place to stay like I did this is your cue to stop reading and book your room at Arlo! My sister and I stayed here for a ladies trip a few weeks ago. Arlo is a boutique hotel situated on the edge of Midtown, within walking distance to Hell's Kitchen and Hudson Yards. We especially wanted to stay within walking distance of Peloton Studios, Arlo happens to be a quick 10-12 minute walk. We appreciated that all of the rooms are equipped with an umbrella for rainy days (we definitely needed to use ours!). This hotel is a vibe with a coffee shop in the lobby, bar and restaurant on site, smart elevators, and lots of cozy sitting areas. Arlo is also a venue for Sofar Sounds live music. The rooms are very clean, the toiletries are organic, and the location feels safe. If you need an early check in or late check out, they will do their best to accommodate you if they can. Plus, Arlo has a secure luggage room and can check your luggage in for you if your room is not ready, or if you are still in the area for a while after check out (we took advantage of this and were really impressed with the service). Nice hotel with rooftop bar for a short stay. Rooms are a bit small. upon booking we weren't informed of the city tax we would be required to pay and that the rooftop bar was closed for renovation.

My husband and I recently stayed at Arlo Midtown and overall had a positive experience. The hotel's location is fantastic, within walking distance to Madison Square Garden, the theatre district, Rockefeller Center, and many other attractions. Also, easy access to the metro. This made exploring the city incredibly convenient. While the rooms were on the smaller side, this was not unexpected as we had read about it beforehand. Despite the size, the bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. One standout aspect of our stay was the outstanding customer service. The staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. However, there was a minor issue with housekeeping as they forgot to clean our room one day, and we had to call twice to get clean towels. This was a bit inconvenient, but it didn't detract too much from our overall enjoyment of the stay. In summary, Arlo Midtown is a great choice for those looking for a convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent customer service. Just be mindful of potential hiccups with housekeeping.
