Beautiful old theater but no elevator or escalator to the mezzanine or upper mezzanine. Definitely not ADA compliant. No leg room at the seats either. Like a tight economy class seat.

I saw the Donna Summer musical. It is a must see play for everyone! It told the life story of the Queen of Disco in a fun, and exciting way. I give it five stars!

The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre has been around for more than a century (officially opened on January 10, 1910). Some of the greatest shows have graced its stage – Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, some music shows like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons on Broadway!, and Kristin Chenoweth: My Love Letter to Broadway, as well as shows of Morrissey, Pure Yanni and Barry Manilow. Fine stand-up comedy was also part of the program. The last show pre – pandemic was Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. A biopic musical, following the turbulent, yet dynamic life of rock star Tina Turner. Everything starts with her humble beginnings in Tennessee, but later moves to St. Louis with her mother and sister. There she meets Ike Turner, who gives her the stage name that she go famous with. The story then follows their turbulent relationship and Tina’s first journey from rags to riches and vice – versa. After they separate she manages to find her way to glory from a Vegas singer to full stadiums all over the world, as well as her relationships with Erwin Bach. This electrifying musical was performed in front of crowds that filled the Lunt-Fontanne’s seating capacity of 1,509 to an absolute maximum. It was amazing!
