Could not of had a worse experience. Moved out of the apt after one year we couldn’t take it

This is, without exaggeration or any doubt, the worst 'property management' company in the city. Please, please, please DO NOT RENT ANY APARTMENTS MANAGED BY THIS COMPANY.
After only 10 months in my apartment in Washington Heights, I had no choice but to move out because the building was completely unlivable. There was drug dealing on the stairs in the lobby; use of drugs on the stairs throughout the building; tenants had group sex on the stairs leading from the lobby to the first floor - EVERY WEEKEND; prostitutes on the 5th floor; music being played ALL NIGHT in the halls on Bluetooth speakers; and illegal guns and a major drug ring on the 4th floor. The building is known in the neighborhood for being the "wh**e house" and is where most people in the neighborhood buy their drugs.
Despite filing more the 20 complaints with GFB Management, 30 complaints to the police (who said the management company would have to resolve the issues), being threatened by the drug dealers and Johns - GFB Management NEVER TOOK ACTION to resolve the issues. After regular, detailed complaints, GFB Management finally sent A LETTER to one of the tenants who hosts weekly group sex parties that can be heard throughout the building! I just so happened to live beneath the the apartment that housed the weekly sex parties and, as a result, could not sleep in my apartment from Friday to Monday (every week) morning because of the loud, aggressive, and often abusive group sex taking place directly above me.
I asked GFB Management to intervene - but they did not. I asked to be transferred to a different apartment - they never answered my request. I invited GFB property managers to come to my apartment and witness the activity and noise first-hand, but they didn't even acknowledge that I made the offer. And for the last 4 months that I lived there - they COMPLETELY STOPPED responding to my emails. So, I had no choice but to stop paying rent and moved out of the apartment before my lease ended.
Now, no surprise, I am waiting for the return of my $2000 security deposit, and have sent two emails - but they have not responded to either email. This is not a surprise, though. They are only concerned with the money and completely ignore their obligations to their tenants. They wanted me to pay $2000 a month in rent - but would not take action even after my neighbor (who is an illegal tenant - GFB management even confirmed this) threatened to kill me, despite the sex and drug dealing in the halls of the building, and despite the fact that children are subjected to this activity every week!
They thought they were going to take me to court and get $19,000 out of me - but they weren't successful.... Not only did they have to settle, they let me out of my lease early with no penalty. But now they are holding my security deposit hostage...
Should GFB Management respond and say that any of this it isn't true - I am happy to reply and post the videos, emails, text messages from cops, and police complaints which prove everything I said is actually true. Stay away from this company! You will endure pure hell if you sign a lease with them.

Horrible management company. I signed the early termination for more than a month. They wouldn't put my place up on market like they say they would and did. so I still have to pay for monthly rent till they rent it out. They're trying to make me pay till the end of the lease despite of the early termination and also hold on to my 5 month rent of deposit. Refused to provide proof of renting info to show me where they advertised the place. Told me the place is already on the market but I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet. Lies. Hard to reach either by email or phone calls. They either ignore your emails or not in the office when you call. It's a dishonest and terrible business. Do not go.
