I live in one of their properties in Miami, FL and the ‘property manager’ DOES NOTHING! Don’t even bother to call him on the cell phone because HE WILL NOT ANSWER, even when bicycles were stolen and lockers were broken into! The ‘cleaning crew’ for the building do not know how clean and the building is DISGUSTING! Also, SOME of the residents are a bunch dirty people that throw stuff inside the elevator (even a broken bottle l) and DO NOT bother to pick it up! If I would had known this place was this way, trust me, I WOULD HAD RATHER RENTED SOMEWHERE ELSE! It looks better in pictures, so don’t be fooled! In other words, do not even bother! I would had given them a ZERO, if I could! PS/ A picture is worth a thousand words, so I will be posting a few (have a lot of them) on here. Seeing IS believing!

I live in one of Burke Leighton's buildings in Washington Heights (NYC). It is the most disgusting and dissatisfying apartment, building, super, and management I have ever had to deal with while renting. The state of the building is absolutely horrendous. For over a year I have documented all of the shady things that have happened in my building. One week after moving in, a tenant apparently threw food onto a window in the lobby stairwell - one year later, it has never been cleaned up. The management company has never communicated with me once during the entire time I have lived here. Even after losing power for an afternoon, there was no explanation from anyone. The one maintenance request I put in during my time was ignored and never resolved. Tenants regularly leave trash or cigarette butts in the building lobby or inner courtyard - these are never cleaned properly. I would highly recommend not using any property from Burke Leighton.

In Miami- buildings got poor management, and very poor internet/cable provider. It’ll cost you $75 a month for their top WiFi service and can’t bundle with tv. They want to be at market value and can’t offer any amenities what so ever. Not even security nor good maintenance. Good luck.

We live in a building that belongs to this company in Florida and this is the worst service ever! Every little problem that could be solved in a couple hours lasts forever. Manager of the building is hiding as long as he gets something got broken here. He doesn’t even care enough to pick up his phone. So you wouldn’t reach him to tell you have a problem. My suggestion is never ever to move in the building of this company in Florida unless you like to be without A/C for a week when it’s more than 80 degrees outside or without hot water or elevator for months.
