The room smelled. The floors were dirty. The front desk almost never attended. And I was charged twice for my room. An additional $550 on my credit card. Called customer service and they told me it was a "pre-authorization" fee. Rooms : 1/5 | Service : 2/5 | Location : 2/5 More

Horrible experience. I knew I was arriving late to the hotel, so I called ahead of time to let them know. They told me it would be okay to check in late and I shouldnt worry. Well when I arrived I waited over 45 minutes for someone to check me in (after calling the help desk 4 times). When I finally got my key and got to my room, I arrived to a room that was not cleaned after the previous guest. The bedsheets were a mess. Towels on the ground. Countertops a mess. I will never stay here again and I strongly suggest no one else does either.

DO NOT STAY HERE. There, you have been warned! Cleanliness: This hotel has a strong odor. Both in the halls and in the rooms. The odor is strong and you may vomit unless you have a strong stomach. It smells like hospital bed sheets from an intensive care unit. My shower still had the used soap bar from the previous resident, and the room was filthy. The bed frame is a steel tube and spring bed from the 1950's, the mattress and pillows are flat, and the bedding is cheap and old. General: The hotel is full of very shady characters. Most seem to be the criminal type. The hotel most definitely isn't safe. They hang around outside the hotel and in the halls at all hours of the day and night and most don't speak English. One night there was a fight in the hallway outside of my room with lots of loud yelling. The room is sold as an 'extended stay' room, but there are no extended stay amenities offered. There is a disgusting cooktop and refrigerator, however no cooking supplies, pots/pans, or utensils are provided. There is no free Wifi. Yes, no wifi. The hotel halls are poorly illuminated, the floors are poor quality and sticky, and don't forget about the odor. I had to go to the front desk to ask for an iron and ironing board. The receptionist slid the ironing board through the slot in the bulletproof glass. Ridiculous. Customer service: non existent. There is a 'bulletproof' window around the customer service desk. That should tell you everything you need to know about this hotel. The receptionists are never there. If you need assistance you have to use a telephone in the entryway. This is easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. This was my first time visiting Cleveland so I wasn't aware how bad the hotel would be. I paid for one week, but I left after three days and cut my losses. I booked at the Garden Inn next door. You can't put a price on peace of mind. I don't think I'll ever forget the smell.
