Maintenance issues, poor management, telling residents one thing and never following through. They charge residents for their own trash problem. Also a bunch of negative reviews have been taken down for some reason. This place has been under new management starting in April.

Lived there for 3 years, between the Ardent and Champion transition. Moved out in the 2nd semester of 2016. It serves its purpose. The apartments are fairly nice and the maintenance crew is great and polite. The parking is a problem. Since there are no assigned spots or vehicle limits, you'll constantly find cars on top of curbs, in front of the mailboxes or in unusual places where complicates the parking in the regular spot. There's a lot of animal poop everywhere in the grass area and close to the entrances, as well as people smoking cigarettes and weed inside the buildings. Tenants responsibility but a little oversight and care by the administration would go a long way. In the last year, they implemented a "trash fee", considering there's no recycling program and the 2 trash areas look disgusting with all sorts of trash overflowing and sitting on the side of the compactor. The office staff changes every 3 months or so, it's never the same person you started dealing with. Sometimes you get lucky and get someone polite. Most of my experience, and also according to neighbors that also recently moved out, the office staff is rude and always with a certain attitude. Save a few exceptions. During my stay, I used to get notes printed on my door with small charges and absolutely no explanation for what. When I called the office, I was told to forget about because it was wrong. Apparently notes that come from corporate and nobody actually cares to double check and verify the reason o such. During the move out process I was wrongfully charged while getting my security deposit back, and it took a village for them to understand why they were wrong. During the whole explanation, there was more attitude by Megan than real math. Which in fact I pointed out to her that she needed to calm down a bit and give me the same treatment I was giving her. I do not recommend. Assess the other apartment complexes close by before commiting with Sawmill Crossing. Thank you for reading.
