We checked in late, because we spend the day at the hospital, a friend had open heart surgery, and wasn't doing well, so we got a room close, when we went in the room it smelled like smoke, and the toilet was stopped up, it was late and we were exhausted. so we went to bed, checked out next morning and told them the room smelled like smoke and toilet was stopped up. Got bill today from Amer.X and they charged US, for smoking in the room !!!!! Don't stay at this place !!

Everything has been remodeled and/or updated and looks really nice. We got a great rate for the six nights we stayed and the rooms were very clean and very nice. The surrounding area is pretty decent with gas stations and lots of fast food. Also a cute little golf course down the street to walk/jog as round. Will definitely stay at this hotel next time we're in the area. Also, the breakfast is better than most hotels but not as good as some other Baymonts but still well worth the $$$

The staff was the only good thing about this place... The first night my Mother and I stayed (she had surgery scheduled for 5:30am the following morning) we discovered a bloated jug of milk, a hot pocket, half a bottle of cherry coke, and half a rotting can of salsa in our mini-fridge, along with a bedside table that was covered in a mysterious sticky substance. At about 10 that night, my Mother asked me to adjust the thermostat. I pushed one button, and the whole air conditioning unit short circuited. After having to pack up all of our luggage and change rooms, the "free WiFi" was mysteriously unavailable. At least in our new room. It was available everywhere else at full strength, but I was informed by the manager that it was MY responsibility to call an 800 number in order to get access...
Tack on the room never once being cleaned during my three day stay, brown stains on my bedding, a filthy black napkin as I wiped up molten lobby coffee that blistered my finger with just a tiny splash (former employee at Starbucks... I'm very familiar with hot liquids), a blackened filth covered napkin in the entrance of our new room as the condensation from my drink had dripped on the floor, an elevator that shut down (I've only one leg due to the Joplin Missouri Tornado), and being yelled at by the other manager because I was unsure if I would need to stay another day... When I found that I had to, there were no apologies from the so called "managers", only the staff, and a mediocre discount of only 10% for all the above listed inconveniences.
There are so many other things, but I'd rather not relive it all... I'm hardly one to complain. I ALWAYS give hotels the benefit of the doubt, due to my Mother working at one for years..... This all said, I would much rather sleep in a dumpster other than this place again.
If you value your health and sanity, avoid this place like the plague it truly is.
