Was great to start!
He tried to scare me off with a large retainer fee. When I left a voicemail saying I could do it he was johnny on the spot to call me way after hours, on his personal cell to set everything up.
He was available always and left a very good impression on me, as soon as he got my money..... bam. I think I heard from him a grand total of 3 times in the entire time I hired him.
He wouldn't return my calls for weeks on end, his assistant kept telling me she would have him call me. Weeks would pass before he would, with me calling almost daily trying to get a hold of him.
My divorce should have been the easiest and cheapest he had ever done. My wife took 90+ days to respond to the initial filing. But Bill had to keep filing extension after extension because he wouldn't return my damn calls to let me know what was going on (so I ended up messing things up by communicating with my wife).
They wouldn't file things on time either. I called 9 days after my 30 days (after filing for dissolution) because it wasn't clear exactly when my 30 days was up, to check in and see how things were going. They said "oh sorry we didn't notice your 30 days was up"(you have to file a 10 day final notice after the 30 days is up after initial filing for dissolution of marriage).
And when I did talk to Bill he would ALWAYS talk over me and treat me like a child (I'm 25) would never let me reply to anything he said (because he's always right). And his tone was absolutely rude and unprofessional sounded as if he was furious that I would be calling and interrupting him. He would say what he had to say and that was it... bye. He "worked" for me (supposed to anyways). I didn't work for him, I paid him to works for ME! He treated me as if I should be so lucky to even be able to speak his name.
He prolonged the whole thing and nickle and dimed me for every cent he could. As far as I'm concerned he's a bully in a fancy shirt.
I ended up reconciling with my wife (4months later).
She had no attorney, never took the mandatory parenting class, took her 3 months to finally reply to the initial divorce filing. I love my wife, but had Bill done what he promised I should have been divorced and done in 40 days. But he saw a young kid with a big wad of cash (I literally paid in cash) and took advantage of me. He never made me a priority or communicated with me once he got my money.
I would give him negative starts if it were possible. 1 star is a far better review than I would voluntarily give...

William Valent is an outstanding Attorney. He agreed to take my case 3 days before trial because my previous Attorney went MIA, after she mishandled my case and I fired her.
Additionally, my Ex-husband and his unscrupulous attorney hired an unethical Custody Evaluator, who has become very well known in the community as a "gun for hire" for those individuals who need a certain outcome, and would have no chance of achieving this with out this custody evaluators recommendation.
Not only did he get the trial postponed, he prepared a very strong case and, hired a professional witness. His litigation skills are the best you can get.
He managed to dismantle the custody evaluators' report and testimony.
There is nobody better out there to be your advocate. Mr. Valent presented compelling facts and testimony that the judge listened to. She determined and ruled that I get sole custody and increased parenting time of my childen.
His assistant is wonderful to. Thank you, Bill- "You are a Rockstar"
