Can't say enough great things about Russell Tutoring & Consulting. Claire was fantastic to work with- she talked to not only us (the parents) but also our son to ensure she understood his goals and strengths. Because this was not a generalized ACT prep course but instead a customized plan specifically made for our son, I think this is what lead to him exceeding his goal on his ACT. He went up 5 points! My son's tutor (Cindy) was also fabulous! She was the perfect match for him. It was a great investment in his future and he has already received college acceptances and scholarships due to his strong ACT score and GPA. Highly recommend Claire & her team!

I highly recommend RTC! Clarie Russell put together a customized curriculum to help my daughter, Alice, gain confidence in her test taking ability. Cindy worked with her each week to do the work and learn the skills to do her best on the ACT. Erin taught her mindfulness which helped her stay calm during the test. A tool which Alice will use throughout her life. Thank you RTC for helping Alice achieve her test score goals!

My son needed help with reading section of the ACT. Claire set him up with an instructor that was a perfect fit for his personality and learning style. In a six week period the tutor taught him testing strategies and more importantly stress management techniques. The approach was very focused and efficiently tailored. Their regular communication keep parents in the loop and are very prompt and responsive. I highly recommend RTC for your child’s ACT/ SAT test prep to boost their confidence and success.

We had a great experience with Claire and Russell tutoring. Claire gave our daughter the opportunity to explore which test she had the most potential to excel in. After taking preliminary tests, we decided collectively that ACT was the way to go for Samantha. After many months of preparation, hard work, and support from Claire, Sam saw a five point increase and surpassed her dream score! I cannot recommend Russell Tutoring highly enough. They helped prepare two of my sons for the ACT's. One of my sons saw a 7 point gain! My other son saw a 5 point gain, which got him to a 35, his dream score! What sets Claire (and her tutors) apart from other test-prep companies is that she is so THOROUGH and that their program is completely personalized. The students work one-on-one with the tutor, focusing on specifically what they need in each section of the test. They not only work on content prep, but also timing strategies, test-taking strategies that are particular to the ACT & SAT, and completely individualized tutoring on exactly what each child needs. I appreciate the fact that she first has the student take a practice exam as a starting point and then YOU (and your child) decide what their goal score is. They then create an individualized program, specifically for your child. The service they provide is worth every single penny.
