Our experience with Dr. Poore was extremely disappointing. We can attest to some of the other reviews in that this Dr. is very rude and abrasive. It’s unfortunate for him that he doesn’t realize how combative and defensive he is. There is no need to get defensive when patients ask questions about procedures. It’s almost as if the Dr. has trust issues and when patients ask questions the Dr. feels challenged as if the patient doesn’t believe him. There are so many good doctors out there; trust me, don’t waste your time with this guy. I would also comment on the lack of integrity from the lady I delt with at the ‘window’ - She straight up lied (and I mean lied) more than once. This Dr and his office is “Bush League” at best. We actually got our money back and left.

One star because he excited the tooth removal and the ladies that work there are absolutely amazing. THATS IT. I was so excited to go to him after my consultation. The receptionists were raving about how good he is and how quick he is. I absolutely have been terrified if the dentist since I watched my sister get her teeth pulled at the age of 8 and I’m 27 now lmao. Seriously though. I had to get two teeth pulled. I got the needles and he was so very supportive and kept telling me I did great. But then after the laughing gas I was still Super nervous. If u ever got a toothed pulled awake you know it’s is something horrible I can’t explain and it was my first time. I literally had sweaty hands and tears coming the whole time. But I was cooperative. At one point he yanked my head because it wasn’t facing him anymore. Seeing my eyes were closed and he was pushing and yanking at this point. He would snap and get real short. Guys. It was like Jekyll and Hyde. One minute supportive. The next an extreme change in tone and attitude. Then I had my hands in my lap, fingers folded because I was squeezing my own hand lol. I was feeling pain and was nervous so I put my hands on my stomach to brace myself. Would you believe this man stopped and forcefully pushed my hands down to my thighs. Saying don’t let him tell Me to put my hands down again. Meanwhile I never once put my hands up to stop or Touch him. I ever helped once and he stopped and asked my I yelled and I said it hurt. And he seriously said no I didn’t and that he will not have me yelling I’m his face for no reason .... After it was all over he started asking me if I was okay. I ignored him the first time and shook my head he’s the second. Then he says okay have a good day and walks out ... the assistant looks at me like she feels so bad and says she’s sorry and consoled me. Seriously. If you have to drive a hour away, do it. COMING HERE IS NOT WORTH IT ! I mean only go if your going to be put asleep. I am not saying his work is horrible because it’s great. It is his customer service and lack of patient quality. I normally don’t take time out for these things but citizen with a masters in health care administration management I feel it is my duty to urge you to seek Elsewhere for higher quality patients services. Also because I’m waiting at the nail and have ample time lol

They performed a wisdom tooth extraction for me, and i was very pleased with the procedure. I suffered minimal pain and had no compacations. Thanks for the great work doc.

Dr. Poore is rude and has a poor, pun intended, bedside manner!!!! He was verbally combative when I asked him a question. This is a first and last visit to this guy. If it were not for my daughter being in pain, I would take my business elsewhere. STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE DISRESPECTED!!!!! UPDATE!!!! To add insult to injury, Dr. Poore ,and or, his staff overcharged me. I received the EOB and what do I know, I was only responsible for paying $245.20. The day before the procedure, I was told by the staff that my portion of the bill would be $459.50, which I paid with no problem. I questioned my portion of the bill because I felt the math wasn't adding up and was told that $459.50 was the difference between the contracted amount and patient's portion of the bill, not exactly in those words. Having managed a dentist office in the past where I was responsible for billing and pre-authorizations, I know this "oversight" should not have happened. My insurance contacted Dr. Poore's today (4/12/19) and they will be issuing a refund once Dr. Poore approves the transaction, according to his staff. If you do decide to utilize Dr. Poore's services, please verify your portion of the bill with insurance so you're not overcharged.
