A few years ago my husband was involved in a horrific, life altering car accident. He was in a comma for weeks, in several different hospitals for the better part of a year and left with such severe injuries he will need medical care for the remainder of his life, he will never work again. I was involved in a major motor vehicle accident several years ago and sustained a crippling hip injury.
