Greensgrow West

Finally stopped by here and I'm so glad I did! They have tons of plants and I love knowing that they actually know that they'll do well in Philly. Prices were also very reasonable and it was great supporting a nonprofit. They had tons of plants for the beginning of spring, and I'm excited to stop back in the summer to see if they have any other selections/by more of the great variety they already have.

Knowledgeable friendly staff, and their small plants are priced reasonably , and a dog friendly atmosphere make this a great place to visit. I do think their indoor selection of plants could use more space. I don't know if they still have the cats and chickens on site but I loved seeing them happy and healthy running around.

Got lots of plants from here they have everything you need plant wise to get your garden started

Plants labeled "native" are not necessarily native to this area, but North America, and are often cultivars instead of true species. Staff aren't always most informed about plants but they deserve safe working conditions! Not only does Greensgrow neglect to properly train their staff, they treat them as disposable for asking for safer worker conditions and lay them off.
