I purchased a refrigerator from this thrift store on September 8, 2012. The owner Lou told me even though he wanted $300.00 for the refrig, he went on-line and this refrigerator goes for $1200.00! I decide to buy it. Then not quite two months after owning it, on 11/3/2012 the refrigerator dies. Owner indicated on sales slip no refund, no exchanges, AFTER I buy it. He said it had to happen due to power surge during Sandy!! That's a croc, cause the motor didn't seize only the compressor. He had HIS friend look at it at a cost to me $30.00! When I tried to get an exchange or maybe he would AT LEAST back what he is selling he refused! When I went in to the store on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2012, he ran out the back of store and had his son tell me that he wasn't there and he was on the side of store in garage! Son was beligerent to me and told me I should blame PECO for the problem! Then this other punk tells me,"Well it worked when you took it out"! This owner is a coward and wouln't even confront me like a man!!! He obious takes advantage of customers! There was another customer who had the same issue with a appliance. Come to find out the refrigerator I bought was is 13 years old too!!! Do yourself a favor and don't buy ANYTHING from these scum bags!!! They claim they give a portion of their monies to charities. Well I hope that's true, and I can only hope that my $300.00 was sent to a charity, and NOT in their grimmey hands!! If I only had a husband he would have made them give me a portion of the money back or a store credit.
