This place has gone south. WAY south... Prices have remained the same but quality of food and service has dropped substantially. TD used to be an annual trip but it is not any longer. First thing you also notice is that the crowd at this place on a prime evening has thinned out. That is usually a strong red flag.

Our experience with the Trail Dust restaurant in Arlington Texas was our first and last. Our first issue was the noise. They had a small live band, and to be fair, they weren’t horrible, but it was so loud you could forget about any conversation. The other customers didn’t seem to notice so maybe that was just us. In addition to the loud music there was a very popular kiddie slide which added to the noise and chaos. We are good with kids but were tired and not in the mood for the extra drama. Our waiter took our drink orders quickly and returned for our dinner order in a timely manner. After that we didn’t see much of him. Our appetizer never came. It was at least an hour before we got our meals; my daughter’s missing a side that didn’t show up even after we said something. The food was alright, but nothing special. The steaks were very disappointing for a “Steak House”. I can do better at home. The restaurant was busy but not overwhelmed and it seemed to be staffed well. If we had a do-over we would not have stayed – would have left after 45 minutes and gone to the Steak-N-Shake. Or better yet, chosen another restaurant to begin with.
