If I could give no stars I would. My son lived there the very first year it was open. Along with the cramped space and over pricing (which we knew and accepted); the move out experience was terrible. Despite my MANY attempts to speak with a manager over deposit refund and room damage disputes, no one would every call me back. I called everyday for a week, sent a certified letter and emailed several times. NO ONE wanted to talk to me; just send me form letters and a bill. They ultimately turned it over to a collection agency. I still refused to pay and have all documentation. They were very rude and unprofessional in their neglect of calling me back.

Clean property. The GM (Mario) and assistant manager (Ryan) are both really nice. The maintenance staff (Isaac & Amador) are both top-notch! Front desk staff are also friendly and helpful. So far, so happy!

I will say the staff there at really nice and are willing to help you. But there are just a few things I would advise you if you get a lease. I normally don't write reviews but I feel like I should at least warn someone if they want to live at Ion. First, I had a huge silverfish issue throughout the entire time of my sublease. Over the summer, I didn't even live in the apartment and when I came back it got so so so bad. I also feel like it gets dusty fast. Which I am guessing is due to the AC system? Not sure on that though. In my current apartment (not at Ion) I never have any of these issues and I take care of it the same way I did before. I got a lot of move out charges for how it wasn't clean but the thing is that I didn't live there over the summer so however "dirty" it was, assuming they mean the dust/silverfish, it wasn't my fault... I loved living there but at the same time I don't think I could go back I am just too worried about the silverfish especially. I think the building might just be a little old and that's why... not really sure but just beware especially with the high prices of rent.

I lived at Ion for two years and overall am sad to have had it been a largely negative experience. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: - Location to campus - Nice amenities - Most people who work at the front desk are kind Cons: - Scam students signing leases by saying they only have a few rooms left and push higher prices. In reality, this is a lie as late in the year they are always emailing about open spaces and trying to fill them (even into the following summer, they push you to sign in early Septempber) - Both years I’ve always had bad plumbing and hot water issues despite multiple matinance requests - Both years have had bad AC issues where it doesn’t work (took over 4 maticance requests this year alone to fix the AC to allow it to cool) - Despite these attempts, Apartment was still really humid. I would leave for winter break and come back and my soap bars would be wet and moldy despite not being touched. - Move in and move out is really messy and poorly planned What really bummed me out was my move out this year. Somebody very close to me passed away over the summer two weeks before move out, the weekend I had planned to move out I spent traveling and attending a funeral. They have move out scheduled on a noon on a Friday and I work 9-5 Monday through Friday. I called to ask for one extra day so I can move out on a Saturday or even a few extra hours on Friday. They said nope so I had to miss work and got fined $150 because I turned my keys in a few hours late (despite being all moved out by 11:30am, when my manager called me to get to the office ASAP). I went to the office and dropped the keys off as soon as I got off work. Ion isn’t the best choice to live anymore in my opinion given all the other newer better constructed and run places to live in west campus. My advice is to look into other locations whose plumbing, management, and building is better.
