Took bike in for a tuneup and a clicking third and fourth gear. Received bike back with a clicking third and fourth gear and a flat rear tire Took bike back for the gear issue, after two people test drove it they determined I needed some type of bearing. I left the bike. They called to say I needed a new rear wheel. I agreed. Received bike back and it is still clicking in third and fourth gear. Out for a Sunday ride at 10 AM, 5 miles from my house and my chain is off jammed and I am broken down. Not sure where to go now

I bought a fathom 29r from Giants website and had it delivered to bicycle world to pick it up. Bicycle world was supposed to assemble and tune the bike prior to my picking it up. When I arrived their very nice receptionist greeted me and took me to pick up my bike from the technicians who delivered it to me as assembled and ready to ride. I didn't like the pedals that came with it so I purchased a new set and had a 20% off coupon for it so yay!.. Except the technician who rang me up didn't enter the coupon so I was charged full price for it and when I got home and test drove the bike the handle bars were loose and instantly tracked off line from the wheel and the drop post was improperly installed and loose as well. As far as first impressions go they leave much to be desired. Edit: Bicycle world's manager called me about my experience and really bent over backwards to make it right. I believe my experience with them is likely out of the ordinary, as their manager really went out of his way to ensure excellent customer service and wanted to ensure my satisfaction. After the managers call I'm definitely more likely to use them in the future. Adding another star until my next visit to bicycle world.

This is a great shop. I wandered in one Saturday morning because they were the only shop open before 10am, and I needed a new seat post. They were super helpful and though they didn't have what I needed in stock, they ordered one for me and got it in that next Wednesday. I went in to pick it up and happened to have my bike in the back of my truck, so they installed and fitted it for me. Then without me even mentioning anything they checked out my brakes and found that there was actually some kind of manufacturer defect that was causing them to squeal. They called the manufacturer and in minutes had a replacement set coming at no cost. And I didn't even buy the bike there! The new brakes are supposed to be delivevered in a couple days and they're going to swap them out with my old ones for me, again at no cost. All this without me even asking them to do a thing. That never happens. Highly recommend this place. They've definitely earned my business and I'll gladly make the trip there when I need anything, even though it's not really even very close to home. Good shop, good people. You should go there.

1st...i cant stress that I looked at my shops for a bike for my 8 year old birthday..although the prices are similar in range between all the shops, the customer service and attention to detail and personal touch is what sold me here. Boti, my salesman did an excellent job to go over the bike, my needs, and benefits of the not only purchasing from them, but the quality of the bike. When I came back to purchase, Boti was not there but everyone else there took care of me the same and I made sure the management knew why I came and who made the difference. They had the bike ready for me and cleaned and polished it up and helped me load in my car. When loading, the manager/Director noticed a smudge (which i didnt even see) and gave extra detail to clean it up and offered a new one from a box if he..not me..but he was not satisfied...that is service!!! I ended up with a newer bike as he felt that would serve me better and would be shiny new for son. I will be back for 3 more bikes for the rest of family and finally glad to know that this is where i will shop for all my bike necessities.
