Kurt Hughes handled my divorce. BIG MISTAKE. During our first meeting he was like, no problem, he quoted a case and said it would be a equal division and should cost about 3k. I gave him the retainer and ONE Year later and 20 thousand dollars later I was divorced with no home. My ex was ordered to pay certain bills during the process, he did not. I ask Mr. Hughes to file motion to enforce, he would not. He was late for hearings and actually told me I should mind by fu*@*** business after one hearing. SO unprofessional and misrepresenting.

I am so disgusted at the lying that comes out of Kurt Hughes mouth to make himself look professional. I am good friends with the client that Hughes responded did not come to the final hearing. I listened via speaker phone while my friend repeatedly asked for his spouse, who stole cash of over $60k, to give him some relief as that was marital money. Hughes ignored 9 emails and countless requests and after over $8k was spent, 5 days before the final hearing Hughes said he quit because he wanted money. My friend had the money and all Hughes had to do is ask for a hearing. Ill go as far to say that it appeared evident that Hughes conspired with the other attorney when my friend got on his case about the his spouse taking the money. This was the most ill prepared and weakest representation I had ever seen. My friend was in a disaster area with no power, no cell phone and no work under a curfew. He and I called over 30 attorneys to take his case and with the final hearing coming up no other attorney would accept it. Kurt Hughes contacted my friend the day before the hearing, he had not prepared for the case at all and was going to provide no defense. His cross examination was so terrible, my friend had no chance. I personally heard the conversations and the representations.
Dont you even think about hiring Kurt Hughes. He lies, he lies more to cover for his elitist behavior as he actually believes he is better than the blue collar class.
If you want a crooked, lying Thurston Howell who doesnt give a hoot about anything but dollars for himself.. and one that will not prepare for your case AT ALL... this is the joker for you!
Shame on you Kurt Hughes! You know exactly what you did and continue to lie!
