I love this place! It is our go-to for birthdays and holidays! I've called 3 days before a party and they were able to create an amazing 2 tier My Little Pony cake without issue! The cafe is adorable and they always have cupcakes, cookies and cheesecake available. Coffee and drinks, too! The kids love going!

My wife and I went there to try them out after getting a coupon, buy one cupcake get one free. The selection was limited but we got there late in the afternoon. Single cupcakes were $3 a piece and small for the price, in our opinion. My wife got a chocolate cupcake, which was ok, and I wanted to substitute a brownie for the free cupcake, you would not think that to be a problem since the price of the brownie was $2, a dollar less then a cupcake, but accommodating the customer is not on the menu at this place even if it was to their advantage. When I asked the owner as to why the substitution couldn't be done, she shrugged and said something about cost, even if it would have saved them a dollar. We ended up getting a $3 banana cupcake, which was very dry?, for free and I got a chocolate brownie, which was very good. Overall for a gourmet bakery this place was disappointing, both in food and service, we will never drive out here for dessert again as there are bigger and better cupcakes several miles on North Battlefield Blvd, by Lowes. COMMENTS on Candie's response to my review! You seem to be avoiding the customer service issue by casting aspersions as to my integrity. I have never been to the bakery by Lowes but I know their product by reputation, as more than one of my friends have bragged about their cupcakes. I call it like I see (taste) it. The brownie was very good, the chocolate cupcake was as I said, "OK" and the banana cupcake was dry and falling apart. You would have to work hard to make a dry banana anything unless you rely on banana flavoring to flavor your cupcakes. The main reason for the one star rating was your attitude which shows through in your response. Just to address your bullet points, here we go.... 1) Come now you know where that coupon came from. You took it back to the kitchen, examined it then came back to the doorway up front to give it back to the young lady working the counter, saying it was good .... for cupcakes only. No substitutions. BTW It came from a coupon book given out at a concert at City Hall, which as it so happens, was the best concert the City has put on in a long long time. The Delorean's were fantastic and it was free, now that's Customer Service! 2) One item out of three does not rate more then one star, especially when customer service was so poor. Whatever happened to the old saying "The Customer is Always RIGHT" 3) We could have stopped by the "Sweet Kream Bakery" close to the hospital on Battlefield, in Knell's Ridge Square shopping center, where the food is consistently well prepared by a crew that knows how to treat their customers, but we like to try new things, always looking for something that stands out from the crowd. Thats why I feel well written, accurate and honest reviews are so important. They help people that have busy, hectic lives save precious time that could be spent with their loved ones! 4?)

We ordered my sons birthday cake with Candie's treats. It was such a pleasing experience. The cake was super awesome and very delicious! This will definitely be out new spot for cupcakes :)

The staff is extremely friendly and the cupcakes are to die for!!! Definitely a must stop, you won’t be disappointed!!
