I've played there a number of times and been there as a patron, and it is a unique experience from either perspective.

I'm from Richmond, not SoMa, CA as the title says. This is a great concept for a small venue but our experience there was terrible. The menu options sound good but I was unable to eat the Wedge Salad (straight vinegar dressing) and my friend's French Dip Sandwich was cold and salty. The hummus app was mostly stale crackers & the brussels sprouts were limp & tasteless. The beer was cold, but I suggest that if you go take a package of Nabs and avoid the food. Martin Sexton played at songs we hardly recognized and appeared dazed and disheveled. When he started his act, the wait staff took the opportunity to start conversations behind the bar, and inside the kitchen, the staff was louder than the artist. We were sitting at the bar and the patrons all around us were looking back and rolling eyes. When I went to the kitchen door to let them know they were loud, a staff member told me twice that was a restricted area and I needed to get out. He came out from the kitchen and laughed loudly at us while Martin Sexton went on. It was embarrassing for me and my friends and I was really sorry we were there. Big waste of an evening and $350 in tickets and bad food. I returned the next morning to share my experience with mgr. Kelly at the ticket counter who assured me I'd get an apology but so far I haven't heard from them. We won't be going back.
