Sam and cameron came out with a short notice and really helped me out. They spent several hours fixing all my problems and did it for a great deal. Great company, great people and great price. Thank you

This is my first EVER review about a company but I am in tears I am so mad. I called this company over a week ago. I was contacted after I posted a request for an appointment and the owner Sam left me a voicemail about his availability. I thought GREAT! I called back and left him a DETAILED message the next day about my problem and wanting to get an ESTIMATE for repair. He called me back and we set an appointment. I made a point to inquire about an ESTIMATE. He told me yes and we set the appointment. Today they come an hour after they sent me a message saying they were on their way after also telling me the yesterday I was the first appointment for them between 0800 and 0900. They arrive and Sam begins to investigate my pump. He told me I had a relay and (something else) that controls the pump but I didn't need them. He brought out a tool and began to look for the valves. I came into the house to give them space to work. I realized after a while, it was taking a minute to finish. This was after Cameron the (maybe assistant) used my bathroom for an extended period of time which I actually find very unprofessional (7-11 is up the street). I went outside to check on things and Sam begins explaining the problem to me and how a valve needs to be repaired because it is stuck open. I asked him, how much it was to fix and he told me it was $98/hour PLUS parts. He went on to explain about valves. I stopped him because I did not make an agreement for him to fix anything. I told him this and he was like well I can just charge you $75 and we can just stop everything and leave. I let him go and get his worker and tell him to stop. I followed him into the back and he told me how many people are begging him to work. I told him I wanted estimates, I was very clear about that I said it on my voicemail and I told him. He swore he told me his rate and how busy and in demand he is. To make this long story short, He yelled at me, berated me, and had a horrible attitude stating he does not have time to check his voicemails. This was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE like I have never imagined. To be yelled at and treated badly over wanting an estimate. He does not offer any kind of payment plans and I simply have NEVER met anyone to begin doing work on someone's house without verifying they would be able to get paid. DO NOT USE THEM or maybe as a woman, I am sure he does not treat men this way based on reading other reviews.

We set up a 9:00 A.M. appointment to have them help us locate some broken sprinkler heads and review the coverage of some of the sprinkler heads. When he never showed up, I called him at 9:30. He claimed that he thought the appointment was at 10:00 but then he acknowledged maybe it was at 9:00. Regardless, he agreed to come within the hour. However once he got here and we began to discuss the issues it was clear this guy didn’t know very much. He didn’t understand how cycles work, seemed to have no clue how the Control box operated and insisted on telling us we had a shallow well pump, (which we don’t) only because he couldn’t see the second flow pipe. He was very argumentative and unwilling to listen to anything I said. The young kid with him even kept insisting that a head that we had with purposely set at a 90 degree angle was broken because it wasn’t doing a 360. It was clear they are not very knowledgeable. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor in all the years I’ve lived in Virginia Beach. I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to write this to warn others to keep looking elsewhere for a professional experienced contractor, because this company is not it! We just purchased our home and we requested proof the sprinkler system worked.. We only choose Affordable Landscapes and irrigation due to previous homeowner used them to perform work and winterize the system. Our first appointment was scheduled for a Saturday (mid day in April)... we didn't hear from them until Saturday evening that they had a job run late and had to reschedule our appointment. We rescheduled for 3-5 the following Tuesday...they call at 6:28pm saying they are still about 45 mins away do we still want them to show...yes I want my sprinkler turned back on even tho you are already 1.5hrs after your window..3 guys including the owner came at 7:30 (2.5hrs AFTER the time window) and said our pump was seized, evidence of leaking, and the contacts were burnt. Since we just moved in the home I pulled out the paper work that his company signed off on in November showing they worked on the system, replaced nozzles and winterized it and everything was working properly. after a few discussions... he stated the previous owners could have known it was bad...So I asked "why did you sign off it was good? And it stated you did work...So did you just rip them off?" The business Owner than proceeded to curse me out saying he didn't appreciate me saying that about him...he wouldn't do that... he's only here trying to help... After he started yelling and cursing at me (Mind you my young son was right there the whole time) but at that point I said "who the * are you talking to?" He said to his worker where is her husband I am not dealing with this women." While he was still going off, I had to walk in the house because my son was scared that some guy was yelling at his mom. I feel like the company didn't properly winterize the system and now are trying to charge me $800 to fix it and the business owner was upset when I asked about it. The Owner is extremely unprofessional, at one point (before yelling at me) he even yelled at one of his employees to go to the truck when he was trying to explain something. This was the worst experience I've had with any company in this area! Stay far, far away from this company!!
