Villa Appia is a pretty cool place to live! Jacki is always responsive to answer all my questions and take actions to help. Shout out to Eduardo on the maintenance team as well for the top notch service! It’s in close proximity to many restaurants, gyms, stores, and bus lines. They have beautiful courtyard and rooftop with many tables and outdoor grills. Street parking and garage are available. Rent is very reasonable for Seattle area. I also appreciate how the lobby is always decorated based on the seasonal events, makes you feel right at home! I’ve never had any issues with the neighbors, they all were friendly. I had to move out because I got a job in another county. All in all, highly recommended! :)

We lived here for six months and recently moved out. The apartments current leasing manager is wonderful. She is very responsive, always got back to us right away. Whenever we had concerns she addressed them right away. The previous leasing manager who helped us move in was also the same way, so the company seems to know how to hire the right staff for the building. Living in Lake City, especially near the busy intersection of 125th can be quite noisy. There are many other apartment buildings near here, so a lot of the noise comes from the neighboring buildings. Thankfully, we never had many issues with tenants from our own building. But the noise outside was often too much. That's how it goes when you want to live close to things, which is also a benefit of living here. You can easily walk to grocery stores, the bank, post office, and some good restaurants. The downside to living there right at the moment is the daily construction work that's happening to the building. They are residing the building and have been for a while now. It gets really noisy during the day. Then at night, it's noisy for the reasons mentioned above. But it seems they are almost finished with the work. We liked the actual apartment unit. It was a one bed. Most everything is updated, and the big fridge is one of the highlights, having the freezer on the bottom instead of the top. Other great parts of the unit include the spacious bathroom, which is like two rooms in one with a sliding door that separates the toilet and shower from the sink. The small walk in closet is nice, but its the only storage in the whole apartment. The window nook in the living room is really nice and it let in a lot of light. Our unit also had wood flooring throughout. We also liked how the lightswitch for the living room could control all top parts of every outlet in the living room, meaning you can put a lamp anywhere. Lots of great things about the actual unit and the rest of interior building is holding up nicely, including the hallways, two elevators, and the lobby. There are two parking garages, but it costs extra per month to use it. There is free street parking, but space can get very limited because of all the other apartments in the area. Also, it seems like people park in the neighborhood in the mornings on the weekdays to walk to the bus stop to go to work, so this creates even more congestion. We could find a spot almost every time, but often had to park away from the building. The rooftop is another highlight of the building. You can see Mnt Ranier on a clear day and at night the view is nice as well. Lots of tables and chairs, so we ate dinner up there a few times during the summer. We are sad to move out, but we wanted to live in a quieter area. It's convenient to live there because of things in walking distance and its right next to a few bus stops that can take you quickly to Northgate or UW, and even downtown Seattle. We want to thank Jacki for helping us with our transition out and for being so considerate of our situation.

I lived in this complex for 3 years and really liked it for my first 2. The location in the neighborhood is good and the complex is mostly quiet, although I had issues with really stompy neighbors and smoking neighbors for a while. In the last year, however, the management switched over and the new manager just seems completely incompetent. She is rarely in the leasing office and hard to get responses from via phone. Also, she did not know how to process my move out or fees at all and multiple times tried to tell me I put down less in a deposit than I did. So, if you do move in here save ALL your receipts and documents. Additionally, the complex has undertaken a major construction project that is constant, very loud, and eliminated access to my ONE window for the last 6 months I was in the building (with no end date in sight). Management did NOT decrease rent and would not even subsidize utilities given that I had to run a fan/AC near constantly due to no window access and being on a hot higher floor. Management also did not communicate well about precise days when teams would have to enter units and how pets should be safely handled during times when windows were removed - it was an absolute nightmare. I was definitely ready to leave when the time came.
