The Cloud One Hotel New York-Downtown

Location: The hotel is very well located right next to the 9/11 Memorial and about 5 minutes from the subway. Service: It's just a kind of motel. Check-in was friendly, check-out was businesslike. We had no points of contact in between. Price-performance: Not true at the back and front. Almost $400 per night in a hotel downtown is off the charts. Outlook: Be sure to book a room with Hudson view and Memorial view. The view is pretty cool.

Here you get everything you know and appreciate from the German Motel Ones. Simple, but neat and comfortably furnished rooms. Check in and check out went smoothly and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast buffet offers everything you need, from bagels and bread to muesli. The location is also very good. Several metro stations are within walking distance. It's only about 10 minutes to Time Square and baseball fans can get to Yankee Stadium in about 30 minutes on the 4 line. The noise level is a little annoying. You can hear the cars on the street and the heavy doors can make the hotel corridor a little louder. But it gets quieter late at night. All in all, you can't go far wrong with this hotel.
