I have had nothing but extraordinary and prompt service from the Board when applying for my apprenticeship as well as my license. They never hesitate to help answer any questions or concerns.

KIM GROSSMAN IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND I LOVE THIS BOARD SO MUCH! THEY DO A GREAT JOB OF RESPONDING TO EMAILS AND MESSAGES AND THEY REALLY GET YOU THE INFORMATION YOU NEED! LOVE THEM!

I wanted to acknowledge the improvements at this State Board. Change is hard. Nothing happens over night. Keep up the good work, continue to raise the expectations of our profession. There are some individuals that really do care here. This only betters all of us. Thank you !

I am so grateful for the help I receive as an apprentice from the Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. I have always received timely help from anyone I reach out to, specifically Ms. Kim Grossman. Kim has been such an incredible help, all the years I have known her. The Board is always there to help and answer questions which really brings peace of mind! Thank you to the board for all you contribute to our field and our state!

I was very nervous when starting my apprenticeship last year! I heard many stories about the board and was terrified I would never make it. That all went away after my first interview! I was able to meet everyone on staff and received a ton of help and reassurance! Ive never been so confident in my career choices until now, knowing theres a group of people at the state behind me helping me to succeed! The process is rigorous but rewarding and Ive received great help now at my almost halfway point in my apprenticeship! (Kim has been very helpful and responsive to all of my questions and dilemmas; thanks covid!) I hope this helps anyone who's nervous to take the first steps into becoming a funeral director, DO IT, especially in the great state of Ohio!
