Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham-Hoover-Galleria

Was there for conference and found it to be extremely nice and comfortable

The place was very nice. However, there was no parking because heavy trucks and trailers took up over 23 parking spaces from regular vehicles. Which made me and my wife have to walk a quarter of mile from Ashley furniture parking lot.

Kind of dirty. Had to take cold shower because there was no warm water.

My husband and I drove 9 hours to Birmingham, Alabama for a family medical emergency. The first night we stayed directly across from Woodward Baptist Hospital at the Marriott Courtyard. They offered a hospital rate $123.00 We liked it very, much. No available rooms the next night. We contacted several hotels for availability, nothing was available. We finally found the Hampton Inn Hoover Galleria hotel, the price was over $200.00 for this night. Upon entering our room at the Hampton Inn Hoover Galleria we saw the curtain. Half the Roman shade was higher than the other. There was a metal bar hanging out of the curtain leaning on the wall next to it. Impossible to close. The Hampton Inn staff knew the curtain was broken. They didnt care or they would have fixed it. The room had been cleaned and prepped for guests. They were aware. We were too tired to deal with a broken curtain. We were at the hospital until 10:00 pm then drove to the Hampton Inn Hoover Galleria. I called the front desk before checking out to let them know. They said they would send up maintenance . Maintenance arrived but couldnt fix the Roman shade. I complained to Hilton Toll Free number. Hilton called the front desk, who again suggested maintenance. At the very, least a Hilton property could have apologized for the trouble. Our room was over $200.00. We expected curtains to close. Bottom line. Rooms: Broken Curtain. Hampton/Hilton do Not care.
