Homewood Suites by Hilton Montgomery

We have stayed at the Homewood Suites 1800 Interstate Parkway, Montgomery, AL a couple of times recently. Plenty of parking, dog walking areas, small gym, nice pool area with bar b que grills, kitchens nicely equipped and clean. The rooms were in very good condition and well supplied. Overall the hotel is in very good condition and clean. We missed the Wednesday night "social" that have this time, but really liked it. The breakfast is okay, however the breakfast lady could have a nicer attitude. The stays were very positive due to several things and have recommend the hotel to family members. Syrenthia and Christine at the front desk were very welcoming and pleasant. The housekeeping staff polite, courteous and helpful. Ray Brown, the Director of Sales, made our most recent stay the best. We were there for my mother's funeral, a very difficult time for me and my family. I was in the public area with some family members on Friday and he came over to me, extended his condolences and let me know if there was anything he could/we needed to just let him or his staff know, He then handed me a sympathy that was not generic, it was specifically on the loss of a Mother. This small gesture shows the type of person he is, kind, caring and thoughtful. He took the time out of his day to make me feel thought of and while it brought tears to my eyes it also brought a smile to our faces. Rooms: We had a one bedroom suite each time we have stayed. Good size, comfortable and clean Kitchen was well stocked. Air conditioner/heat worked well. Safety: All doors to the exterior are kept looked except the front door up to a certain time. Property is very well lit all through the parking lot and at the entry doors. I felt comfortable walking my dog late at night/early in the morning. Room doors have a deadbolt and a latch to prevent the door from being opened when it is used. Windows all had locks that worked.

Nice hotel but the interstate passes behind it, and you will have truck noise all night from the highway. That with noise from the adjacent room from children running and yelling, made it a long night. If you cant sleep through the noise from an interstate, you need to avoid this hotel.
