I should have read the reviews beforehand. This tour company is horrible and completely dishonest. There are only 16 seats on the boat yet they booked 21 people. There was no place to sit for 7 hours and worse there was not enough room for people to fish due to the overcrowding. It was extremely difficult to move around. The tour company also said this trip was appropriate for a kid as young as 6, which is completely untrue. You are just throwing money away, no way a kid that young can even hold the rod let alone reel it back with a 5 lb weight when the line is going 200 feet down to reach the bottom. As if things couldn't be worse, instead of canceling the trip due to bad weather - they decided to go out anyways. Halibut are bottom fish and the water was so choppy that the current was moving the boat all over the place making it impossible to actually fish. This was a miserable experience. Listen to all the negative reviews and avoid this tour. The one and only positive was that the crew on the boat seemed nice, they tried their best.

We did a half day tour today with Alaska Coastal Marine and it was the best experience. Grant the captain along with Nathan and Patrick were so helpful and never stopped moving!! They were constantly asking about your bait, assisting if you wanted help and cleaning the boat top to bottom. They asked everyones name on the boat and called you by name each time !! Such hard workers and made our experience so incredible ! We caught all our fish and they had them all cleaned before we got back to shore. Highly recommend !!!

We booked the 1/2 day Halibut fishing trip and it was wonderful. The deck hands did an amazing job tending to everyone. They worked so hard cleaning fish and the entire boat. We all caught our limit and had a great time.

We booked a half day Halibut trip and had a fantastic time. Grant and James took excellent care of us. We had a blast catching our limit of Halibut. The boat was clean, comfortable and was an enjoyable ride in and out. We were lucky enough to bump into a pod of Orcas and got to watch them swim around while fishing. I loved the workout of reeling in 200 plus feet of line to see what was on the other end. Our fish was cleaned, fileted and bagged on the boat before we got to the Marina. James is super fast with a filet knife! We had a great day.
