As a wedding planner I work with many florists in San Diego and Floral Works & Events is one of the best. I know I can take a couple to visit Ana and she will make their vision come to life and ensure that every detail is perfectly executed.

My husband and I had our wedding last weekend and Ana did a wonderful job of making our wedding dreamy! It was absolutely beautiful! There were a few minor changes the day of that I noticed, but they were little and were even more beautiful than what I requested. She is truly talented and is very knowledgeable. She was a pleasure to work with! I remember at our mock up, she took extra time to come out to my car to see my dress and made some additions to our order which I loved. It was very special to me. I would highly recommend especially because the price is right!

Do not waste your time!! After making an appointment to meet with Ana for our wedding design weeks in advance, she was not prepared for our meeting...I really think she doesn't look at her appointment schedule and almost treats it like an inconvenience that you've showed up and interrupted her day. She really is knowledgable, can see your vision for the event you have in mind, but after the meeting was over she said she would email me a quote. I never received one email from her. I even followed up and emailed her, even left a message on her voicemail and NADA! I guess they don't want my money and I am more than happy to spend it somewhere else!

I searched high and low for the perfect and most inexpensive place for my wedding floral arrangements and rentals. Once we came to Raphael's, we were sold not only by their wide-ranging selection of everything and anything you could imagine, but also by their wonderful customer service, expertise and understanding.  Our sales associate, Meilani was kind, helpful and patient with us.  We went through so many contracts with her, and calls to finalize everything - she was always giving us suggestions and ways to help us save more money and had a way of making us feel at ease.  On the day of our wedding, everything I had envisioned for my centerpieces, the ceremony, the cake, our chuppah, etc. was just perfect and everything I had hoped for and imagined.  They did a beautiful job.  They even went above and beyond in helping us during the ceremony with the procession, just because of their willingness to help out.  What an outstanding job - I've recommended them to all of my friends and will continue to overtime.  We were so fortunate to have Raphael's as an option for us here in San Diego!

Words cannot describe the amount of frustration and stress Ana had caused by all the miscommunication, inconsistency, and failure to execute. We were extremely paranoid about things going wrong at the last minute because she was always shaking our confidence. Sadly, our paranoia came to fruition when she decided not to show up as promised on Saturday, the day of our wedding. $2300, the amount paid by my wife and her parents, is far too much for the services we received. We did half her job, which is embarrassing.Ana promised my wife, her mom and my dad that she would be there on the day of our wedding. She told my dad specifically that she would oversee the setup and the final product to ensure everything turned out as it should have. Not only did she not show up on the day of our wedding, but she didn't bother to call or notify anyone. Instead, the flowers were dropped off and the bride's dad was left to decorate all the tables. With only a few hours to our ceremony, he had to place linens, center pieces, candles and rose petals on 16 tables. Unaware of Ana's vision, he had to constantly check with my wife while she was getting ready and taking wedding pictures. This only added to her anxiety on the most important day of our lives. Would you want this on your wedding day? The most devastating aspect of the flowers was that the rose petals were not scattered down the center aisle, according to the agreement and vision of Ana. My wife had purposefully changed the color of the pomanders to ivory in order to accentuate the beauty of the red rose petals. This was Ana's responsibility, as "Senior Event Stylist," and left the bride severely disappointed and upset after the ceremony.We contacted Ana after the wedding to voice our concerns and asked Ana why she failed to show up or call on the day of our wedding.  Ana's excuse was that she had another wedding to attend and was sick. She then blamed our caterer, saying it was his responsibility to decorate the tables, yet she didn't properly communicate this to him. Somehow this fell on our shoulders. She never once apologized or accepted responsibility. Was she stuck at another wedding? Or sick? It doesn't add up. During a phone conversation, following the wedding, Ana rushed off the phone but assured us she would call back to discuss this further. To this day, she has never called back. She was the ONLY professional involved with our wedding that was impossible to reach and never returned calls. It's painfully obvious that she treated our wedding like a burden. Why was the other wedding on Saturday more important than ours?I would feel guilty allowing anyone else to go through the disappointment we went through on the most important day of our lives. Please avoid Ana at all costs.
