My Granddaughter goes here and takes the youth classes. I can't say enough about what it has meant to her. Her teacher has been such an incredible mentor. And I have seen her confidence grow.

John is a great teacher and a great coach. He loves working with actors and his notes are tailored to the individual and what theyre working on. Ive done weekly classes and private coaching at the studio and been really grateful for both. Love this place.

I have been studying with John for over a year now. I received my MFA in Acting in 2009 and have been working primarily as a stage actor ever since. When I moved to LA I was looking for a teacher who could help me translate my years of experience on stage to grounded and authentic work for TV & Film. John really knows what he's doing. He met me where I was at, helped me get comfortable in front of a camera, walked me through the process of shifting gears from Theatre to Camera and even helped me find a better way to memorize my lines. We're always working on fresh material and he truly LOVES what he does. I'm so lucky to have found him and this incredible community of actors. My class mates are some of my best friends now. It's my little artist home and I couldn't be more pleased.

From the moment I started working with John I recognized that he could elevate my acting to the next level and he certainly has. Now, five years later, he continues to challenge me creatively while providing incredible insights into the work, the industry, and basic human nature. If you're looking for an acting teacher who can help you reach those higher plateaus, look no further.

Studying at John Rosenfeld Acting Studios has been an excellent experience for me. Under the guidance and expertise of coaches like John, Chloe, Jeff, and Alex, I've noticed an enrichment in my approach to acting and scene-work. Their expertise and dedication pushes actors to delve into different facets of themselves that overall compliment the characters we play and the stories we tell. One of the standout aspects of studying at JRS is the emphasis on practicality. Approximately 90% of the time, we work on scripts that are either in pre-production or currently shooting. This real-world application not only hones an actor's craft but also prepares us for present professional demands of the industry while maintaining and applying tangible techniques. It's invaluable to have the opportunity to work on material that is relevant and timely, giving us actors a taste of what to expect in the industry. The coaches at JRS go above and beyond to help actors identify and overcome their "defaults." They spend time analyzing our individual approaches, helping us to recognize patterns or tendencies that may hinder our performances. For instance, they helped me understand that I often default to turning scenes into arguments, rather than exploring alternative perspectives and points of view. This level of personalized attention and guidance is truly transformative, allowing us to break free from personal limitations and expand our artistic range that moreover fosters an environment for growth, creativity, and collaboration. Additionally, JRS provides a focus on tweaking your auditions for specific networks, as each network has its own unique style and preference. This attention to detail and industry insight sets JRS apart, ensuring that their actors are not only talented but also marketable in today's competitive landscape. I cannot recommend John Rosenfeld Acting Studios highly enough. It's not just a place to practice; it's a community that nurtures talent and cultivates excellence. If you're serious about pursuing acting or even have been acting for a while, and want to sharpen, hone, and even take your skills to the next level, give JRS a try. It's truly an asset to any actor no matter where you're at in your journey as in life we never stop learning nor do we ever stop growing.
