We were extremely disappointed in the Ladder Method.  I was very unhappy with the services when the tutor abruptly stopped her sessions with my daughter without notice, and she didn't even have the ethical consideration to tell my daughter directly.  We received an email from the company, but not the tutor herself.  They didn't provide any replacement for someone in our price range and when I requested to speak with the owner I never heard back from her.  They charged a lot of money for an assessment that they didn't appear to utilize and then blamed my child that they were unable to provide the services she needed.  They said she was failing her classes when she was actually only missing assignments (which was disclosed as a reason we were seeking their help with executive functioning).  They refused to refund any of the assessment money and didn't seem concerned about appropriate referrals or continuity of care.  I think their service may be only for high achieving students that don't struggle with executive functioning issues, and have unlimited funds to spend on their services.  I had really hoped they would be helpful and sadly, we are left in the lurch without another resource during an extremely critical time in our child's schooling.  Buyer beware!

I've had the pleasure of working for The Ladder Method for almost a year now and I am so thankful I found this company! The Ladder Method offers a diverse workplace environment where I feel comfortable voicing my opinions and where I feel like my input is appreciated and valued. There are open lines of communication between parents, students, and fellow staff, and support throughout is very strong.

I am a seasoned professional who has been working in higher education for over a decade, and have been working with The Ladder Method for over a year now. I have found working for The Ladder Method to be open and inclusive. I have been in the work force for 20 + years and I have a college age son whos entering the workforce himself so I speak from experience that I found their application process on Indeed to be efficient and easy to navigate, receiving a call within 2 hours of submitting my application and a face-to-face interview within five days. However, as an agency with a prestigious clientele, The Ladder Methods expectations are high. These expectations include, but are not limited to, mastery of the subjects to be tutored, familiarity with modern technology, and the ability to meet current standards in education. Candice and her team have spent an extraordinary amount of time training her diverse group of tutors, first in orientation sessions and then in regular training for best practices. Training related to sensitivity towards social topics is required, but the tutors are always paid for training of any kind and the compensation is some of the best in the business. Regular phone checkups with tutors ensure the quality of our education and prevent any surprises as far as a students performance is concerned. All in all, it has been, and continues to be, a pleasure to work the team at The Ladder Method.

It's my 3 year anniversary with The Ladder Method! I've experienced this awesome company going from strength to strength and making such a difference to so many children and their families - which clearly is our focus but, the whole team from back to front are just great. Candice invests tremendous amounts of energy into training, not just on our unique tutoring approach but also on building a company culture that we're all excited to be a part of. Just sad that we're missing out on the team lunches but hopefully that'll change soon!

I became an academic coach with the Ladder Method over a year ago, and the experience has been engaging, gratifying, and surprising. Short-term academic success is just one small part of what the company does; most of our work goes toward instilling long-term skills in students, making them sharper thinkers and bolder humans. This makes my job invigorating. TLM is an honorable company that individualizes to each student without betraying its core principles. Behind the scenes, the TLM team is collaborative and supportive, prioritizing teamwork in what could otherwise become a lonely solo gig. The leadership welcomes - and expects! - input & imagination from us: they see that the most brilliant ideas are forged in connections between disparate personalities and minds. They value us as people bringing rich experiences and training. This makes our team unique and potent.
