The Center for Early Education

We applied to this school, because you needed to do that and pay $100+ BEFORE you were allowed to tour on the one cattle-call day. Once we did, we were so turned off we pulled our application. The headmaster gave a speech to the massive crowd, saying - literally - "we want your time, and we want your TREASURE." As in, donations. Those words exactly. Obviously every private school relies on donations from rich families to subsidize their budgets, but the fact that it's one of the two most important stated values that you tell prospective parents that right away? What the actual?! Every square inch of the compact urban campus was littered with sponsorship squares. The classrooms in session were fine - unremarkable frankly. None of the parents we met that day were really that passionate or interested in selling us on the school. But they were quite eager to discuss Beyoncé's performance at the gala fundraiser!

My children are 12 and 14 and they started at CEE at Toddlers (age 2) and my youngest graduated this past June.  I can't say enough for the time our family spent at The Center.   Both kids got a great education both in academics and as members of a diverse and supportive community.   As a parent, I can say that I feel I grew up as a parent at CEE.   I met friends I'll have for life and I enjoyed being involved with the school's volunteer opportunities.   Los Angeles has many wonderful schools to choose from but I couldn't be happier my children had the opportunity to be at CEE.

Its an amazing school my daughter loves it there. Best school.
